William Urquhart MD

William Urquhart, MD, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, is known for the compassionate health care he offers to women of all ages at Bay Area Physicians for Women in Mobile, Alabama.

Dr. Urquhart earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 

He then completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in Birmingham, Alabama, at the University of Alabama Medical Center. Following graduation, Dr. Urquhart finished his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kentucky (UK) Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

At Bay Area Physicians for Women, Dr. Urquhart strives to build lifelong relationships with his patients. He’s passionate about providing care for women through each stage of life, and he enjoys seeing his patients and their families grow throughout the years.

Dr. Urquhart is a former chief of staff at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, Alabama and he was on the hospital's Board of Directors. He is a fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a diplomate in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an active member of several other professional organizations.

When he’s not working with patients, Dr. Urquhart loves spending time with Marietta, his wife of nearly 50 years, and his two daughters. He is an active member of his church, and some of his hobbies include golf, fishing, and traveling.
